Introduction Of Manganese ore

Manganese is widely distributed in nature, and it is contained in almost all kinds of ore and silicate rocks. The most common manganese ore is anhydrous and water-containing manganese oxide and manganese carbonate. There are currently 150 types of manganese minerals known, but they have the highest manganese content, but there are only 5-6 types of manganese minerals that can be enriched in large quantities to form economic values. The most important and economically valuable are soft manganese ore and hard manganese ore, as well as hydromanganese ore, limonite, black manganese ore, and rhodochrosite. The content of manganese in these minerals can reach about 50 to 70%, which is an important industrial mineral for manganese.

Property:can be decomposed by acid

Uses:metallurgical industry

Main ingredients:manganese oxide and manganese carbonate

Relying on scientific and technological progress, the development and utilization of manganese resources has developed in the direction of deep processing and finishing, and has formed a fairly mature production scale. The finished products have entered the international high-end market in large quantities. Therefore, the prospect of investment in manganese ore is very broad. However, the vast majority of manganese ore in China is poor, and must be processed. Below we look at the commonly used manganese ore beneficiation technology.

At present, the process of manganese oxide ore processing in China mainly includes three processes: crushing, grinding and beneficiation. Generally, the ore is crushed to 6 ~ 0mm or 10 ~ 0mm, and then grouped, coarse grades are eliminated, and fine grades are shaken. Bed selection. At present, the commonly used crushing equipment is a jaw crusher. After the crushed manganese ore is milled by a vertical milling machine to obtain the finished products of various specifications, the appropriate beneficiation process is used for beneficiation.

Common Manganese Ore Dressing Process

1. Reselection: At present, reselection is only used for the separation of manganese ore with simple structure and coarse embedded grain size. It is especially suitable for manganese oxide ore with higher density. Common methods include heavy media ore dressing, jig dressing and shaker ore dressing. . The specific process is generally crushing the ore to 6 ~ 0mm or 10 ~ 0mm, and then grouping, jigging at the coarse level, and sending to the shaker at the fine level for sorting.

2. Strong magnetic separation: Manganese mineral is a weak magnetic mineral. It can be recovered in a high-magnetic-field magnetic separator with a magnetic field intensity of Ho = 800 ~ 1600kA / m (10000 ~ 20000oe), which can generally improve the manganese grade by 4% ~ 10%.

Because of the simple operation, easy control and strong adaptability of the manganese magnetic separation process, it can be used for various manganese ore beneficiation. In recent years, it has dominated the manganese ore beneficiation. Various new types of coarse, medium and fine magnetic separators have been successfully developed. At present, the most common application in domestic manganese ore beneficiation production is the magnetic separator. The coarse and fine magnetic separators are gradually being applied. The fine magnetic separator is still in the experimental stage.

3. Strong magnetic-flotation: At present, the strong magnetic-flotation process is mainly manganese carbonate-based low-manganese, low-phosphorus, and high-iron-manganese ore. The separator and flotation machine are mainly mechanical stirring flotation machines. After many years of production tests, the process has been successfully tested and applied in production, marking a major step forward in China's manganese ore beneficiation technology.

The vast majority of manganese ore in China is a poor ore and must be processed. However, since most manganese ore is fine-grained or fine-grained intercalation, and has a considerable amount of high-phosphorus ore, high-iron ore and symbiotic beneficial metals, it brings great difficulties to beneficiation and processing. Our company can inspect the mining area and strive to configure the most suitable manganese ore beneficiation technology for customers to improve the efficiency of beneficiation production.

Manganese ore use

Metallurgical Industry

Manganese is an indispensable raw material for the steel industry. Manganese is a very strong reducing agent. It can absorb all the oxygen from the molten steel, so that there is no iron oxide in the steel, and it becomes a non-porous steel ingot. Secondly, manganese is also an excellent desulfurizing agent. It can remove all sulfur in molten steel. Adding a small amount of manganese to the steel can greatly increase the mechanical properties of the steel, such as ductility, ductility, toughness and wear resistance. Manganese steel, ferromanganese, and various alloys and manganese compounds made of manganese and copper, aluminum, nickel, cobalt, etc. have great industrial applications.

Ferrous metallurgy

Standard ferromanganese can be smelted with iron-grade superior manganese ore. Ferromanganese is an additional material for the production of special steels, and it can also smelt a small amount of silicon manganese. Silicomanganese is useful for smelting certain types of steel;

Nonferrous metallurgy industry

Alloys of manganese and copper can make corrosion-resistant metal receptacles. Manganese bronze alloy can be used as marine equipment. Manganese and aluminum alloys have great applications in the aviation industry. Manganese nickel copper alloy can make standard resistance wire.

Chemical industry

Manganese dioxide (permanganite) can be used as a negative agent in the manufacture of dry batteries, and can be used as a paint desiccant in the chemical industry. Black decorative glass can also be made, as well as decorative tiles and ceramic glazed colors. It can also be used as various manganese compounds, such as manganese sulfate, manganese chloride, potassium permanganate and the like.
